Important Information Regarding Medication, Immunizations, and Physicals

Welcome back to our returning students, and welcome to our new students! In preparation for the 2021-22 school year, I'd like to remind families of a few topics related to the health office:

Medications:

If your student requires a daily, as needed, or emergency medication, it can be kept in the health office and administered as directed by a physician. A new order is required at the start of each school year. These can be faxed, emailed, or dropped off in person. If you would like to drop off medications before the first week of school, I will be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (8/30-9/1) from 9am until 3pm. Please check in with security to let them know you are dropping off medications. I will also be available during kindergarten orientation if you would like to stop by the health office.

Immunizations:

Please make sure we have received documentation of required UPK, kindergarten, and 6th-grade vaccines. These are mandatory for the start of school. If you are unsure whether we have received this information in the health office, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Physicals

An annual physical is required for students in grade levels UPK, K, 1, 3, and 5. If you have not already submitted one but have an appointment to do so with a primary care physician, please let me know.

Any documentation can be faxed to 392-1012 or emailed to me at kbaldino@hilton.k12.ny.us

Enjoy these last few weeks of summer and stay safe!
