Latest COVID Testing Information

In accordance with the latest guidance from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and New York State Education Department (NYSED), the District will now allow at-home COVID tests to be used for students with COVID-19 symptoms to return to school.

Positive test results should continue to be reported to the Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) using this link. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should continue to follow isolation procedures. If the criteria to return to school has been met after 5 days of isolation, those individuals are required to wear a well-fitting mask for days 6 - 10.

Negative test results can be sent to your student's school nurse. For an at-home COVID-19 test to be accepted, the student's name and the date of administration must be written on the test. A picture of the negative result must be sent to the school nurse. As always, students must be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication to be able to return to school. Contact information for school nurses can be found using this link.

At-home COVID-19 tests can be requested by contacting the main office of your student's school. Families can request to pick up tests during the regular school day or have tests sent home with their student.

Rapid PCR testing continues to be available at Quest Elementary on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Appointments for students can be made using this link. Students being tested, as well as parents accompanying them, must wear a mask when entering the building for PCR testing.
