Dear Village Families,
I am writing to remind you of our parent/guardian pickup process. These procedures were communicated at the beginning of the school year and are what we have followed throughout the year.
One thing that has made our procedures work well is the patience and understanding of families. Now that we have both of our in-person cohorts together each day, this will be especially important. Thank you for your continued support.

For pickup and dropoff:
- K-2 students and their 3-6 siblings enter and exit via the MAIN ENTRANCE
- 3-6 students that do not have a K-2 sibling enter and exit via the HJ Gym Entrance
- Please fill all available space in front of you when arriving so as to allow additional cars behind you access to the loop.
If you plan to pick your child up...
Before you pick them up:
- If your child will be a daily pickup, please contact Mary Ellen Meyer (x5198).
- Please contact the attendance office (kgiacolone@hilton.k12.ny.us) if you are authorizing someone other than a parent/guardian to pick up your child(ren).
- Please notify our attendance office by 10 am if your child will not be riding the bus as planned and will need to pick your child up. The sooner you can communicate this information, the better. Our attendance office contact information is available via the following link:
- Please be sure to have your license in case we need additional verification.
During the actual pick-up:
- In order to stagger our dismissal of students being picked up, please arrive as early as 2:45 p.m. We will begin dismissing students being picked up at 2:50 pm as families arrive.
- Please pull into the parent pick-up loop. Please pull to the right and please remain in your vehicle.
- Hold up (or place in the window) the provided sign with your child's number on it.
- There will be staff members with walkie-talkies to call for your child(ren) to come out as the staff identify that you have arrived.
- Please have your identification available to show to staff.
When you leave...
- Please pull out safely and cautiously as the parent loop will be quite busy.
- Please put your sign in a safe spot as the sign will be needed each time you pick your child up.
