Dear Village Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As we continue to teach and learn from home, I would like to thank each of you for your time and support. Without question, our staff recognizes that having children engage in school from home presents many challenges. At the same time, a number of families have a loved one that is an essential worker or a healthcare worker while other families may be experiencing different challenges due to the pandemic. Please know how much we appreciate all that our families are doing to support our students during an incredibly complex time in our lives and society.
In today's update, I am writing to share a few things. First off, as our students engage in learning from home, this is a great time to help them grow as digital citizens. Digital citizenship focuses on how students think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in today's online world. We have developed digital citizenship guidance that would be worthwhile to review with your child. Please visit the following link for this information:

Additionally, the Village staff would like to share our pictures from when we were seniors in High School as a gesture to recognize our Village students and Cadet seniors. We hope you enjoy them and know how much we miss you:

For other important updates, please visit the Village Elementary blog homepage. I will be posting more read-alouds for students on the blog in the near future as well.
Thank you, once again, for your support as we continue to teach and learn from home. It is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rudd
Principal
