ESSA-Funded Program Meeting

As part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Hilton
Central School District is required to meet with stakeholders to seek input on
the District’s ESSA-Funded Programs:
Title I, Title II, and Title III grants.
Title I provides additional financial assistance to school districts to help
ensure that all students meet challenging state academic standards. Both
Village Elementary and QUEST Elementary have been designated Title I schools
for the 2018-2019.
The purpose of Title II funds is provide professional
development for teachers and principals with the goal of increasing student
achievement.
Title III funds are intended to assist English Language Learner
students with developing high levels of academic achievement and proficiency in
the English language. Hilton Central School District is part of a Title III
consortium with a number of neighboring districts.
