It
is not too late to be vaccinated. Getting the flu shot is the best way to
prevent flu illness and serious flu complications, including those that can
result in hospitalization or death. Everyone 6 months or older should get
a flu vaccine every year, unless they have a medical contraindication. To

There has been increase in the number of flu cases as well as strep throat over the last few weeks. We ask that you keep your child home if they are complaining of a sore throat, feels chilled, fever of 100 or , rash or vomiting. They need to be fever free without the use of medications that are fever reducing like Tylenol, Ibuprophen or some cold medicines for 24 hours before sending them back to school.
