Parents:
We
are writing to let you know that the instructional swim program for grades 3-6 has
been temporarily postponed. After a discussion among the Physical Education
staff and the Athletic Director, Mike Giruzzi, it was determined that postponing
to a later date was best. The district has been unable to find a
consistent lifeguard, which would require one of the PE teachers to serve as
lifeguard. While this is appropriate for safety purposes, having one
teacher for instruction is not as effective instructionally as we would
like. When this issue is resolved, we will reschedule this instructional
unit and let you know.
